Matt & I have officially been together 8 months! Two-thirds of a year! Only 4 more months until a year! It feels absolutely right!!

Look out Europe...Here I Come!!....hopefully!

So I seriously thinking about studying abroad in Leiden, the Netherlands next fall!!! I have always dreamt of going to Europe & I think that going as a student abroad would be the easiest & probably cheapest way!!

Matt says that 4 months is too long for me to be gone but he's not going to stop me...just miss me... I rreeaallyy want to do this!!!

When I get where I'm going....I'm gonna walk with my grand-daddy. He'll match me step-for-step.

I really wish I could have really "met" my Grandpa Haugaard. He died when I was only a year and a half old. But he was SO interesting! I wish I could talk to him today and ask him what it was like growing up in Denmark. And ask him about being in the Danish underground resistance movement against the Germans in WWII. What it was like moving to the United States. I would just be bursting with questions!
My mom told me some stories. One of them is about how if he didn't leave Denmark after the war he would have been killed by the Germans. And that Frederiksen St. in Fremont is named after the people that were pretty much his family when he came to Fremont. But I wish I knew more.
I guess this will just have to at the top of my list of things to do when I get to heaven!

This is one man that I would kill to meet! Or even just to see him in concert! If he ever comes to Omaha or anywhere reasonably close I WILL by tickets! I don't care how much they cost!

Have you ever just wanted to run away??

I do!! Just for a little while. Hopefully someday I get the chance to just pack up and drive. With no concrete, set-in-stone destination in mind. And when I do get that chance this is what I going to do...


It goes right though the whole southwest part of the US, which is on the top of my list of places to visit in the US! Yep...I can't wait until I can just get up and hit the open highway!

The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas

I'm usually not very creative. But when an idea pops into my head I have to get it down on paper...or in this case Photoshop! We have to make a photo illustration for my digital photograpy class and I at first was like "How in the crap am I supposed to figure out to do this on??" but then all of a sudden an idea popped into my head. I'm not sure where it came from but this is the outcome of that idea! Enjoy!

My new favorite cd! This girl is so amazing & so mature & poised that it is hard to believe that she is only 18 years old!
I love what she wrote in the album booklet right before her "thank you's".

"This album is called 'FEARLESS,' and I guess I'd like to clarify why we chose that as the title. To me, 'FEARLESS' is not the absense of fear. It's not being completely unafraid. To me, FEARLESS is having fears. FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before. FEARLESS is walking into your freshman year of high school at fifteen. FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again...even though every time you've tried before, you've lost. It's FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change. FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them. I think it's FEARLESS to fall for your best friend, even though he's in love with someone else. And when someone apologizes to you enough times for things they'll never stop doing, I think it's FEARLESS to stop believing them. It's FEARLESS to say 'you're not sorry', and walk away.
